R&R Woodwork - Commercial Services

About Us

A Passion for Fine Custom Woodwork

Creating high quality, unique custom millwork every day requires skilled workers, designers, and artisans who find this work intrinsically rewarding. 22 years ago, company president Richard Reynolds set out to locate a team of others just like him:

  • A diverse range of experience, knowledge, and talents
  • Creative and analytical problem solving abilities
  • Motivated by a commitment to excellence

Common to all chosen was a high level of expertise . An R&R team member knows the pros and cons of a type of wood for an application, its pliability, texture, how it reflects light, how its pattern will look in a certain configuration, and much more.

R&R has formed value-based relationships with preferred suppliers and outsourcers, each with its own specialty. To qualify as business partners, these companies had to satisfy demanding standards and meet client deadlines.

With the mastery of SolidWorks - 3D CAD software of international repute - R&R Woodwork has expanded its client base:

  • Prominent interior design firms
  • Design-build condominium, and other construction companies
  • Any organization that desires inspiring creations in wood, of any magnitude
  • Individuals whose tastes in homes or art includes fine woodwork

R&R Woodwork’s innovative spirit, values, and practices in creating custom architectural millwork allow it to surpass both conventional millwork thinking and their clients' expectations.

Our Team

Kevin - Project Coordinator / On-site CNC Technician
Technically-inclined, Kevin assumes many roles. He has over 3,000 hours of experience with the SolidWorks 3D CAD program. He is also R&R’s on-site repairman, troubleshooter and fine tuner of both the CNC router and the computer-driven beam saws.

After earning an Industrial Woodworking Certificate from Conestoga College in Kitchener, Ontario, his first job was doing kitchen and furniture design-build-installations. Kevin started in 1998 as a basic cabinet maker and soon impressed the company with his problem solving computer skills.

Kelsey - Industrial Designer, BSID / Project Coordinator
An industrial millwork designer and a SolidWorks operator-detailer since 2000, Kelsey has over 5,000 hours of experience with the awe inspiring 3D CAD program.

Kelsey is the liaison between R&R’s production team and the customer. The customer advises him as to what they would like, he logically forms an idea, engineers it, and draws a design using SolidWorks. Kelsey ensures that the design will work for the shop and deduces how it can be installed quickly and efficiently, saving time for all involved.

He holds a Bachelor of Science Industrial Design (BSID) degree from the Art Institute in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and also did undergraduate Industrial Design work at New York City’s Pratt Institute. Kelsey joined the company in 2004 and provides creative input to any project considered.

Paula - Controller
Paula manages all accounting and banking duties as well as making sure the office runs smoothly. Paula has been “behind the scenes” as part of the management team for many years. She recently took over the office management position full time.

Bob - Vice President of Operations
Bob oversees the entire workshop-factory where jobs are taken from the drawings stage to completion. He discusses each project with the client contact, troubleshooting issues or concerns. Most underestimated dilemma: whether the finished product will fit through a destination’s front doors.

Bob joined R&R in 1988 as a machinist, was promoted to Plant Manager in 1994, and subsequently to Vice President of Operations in 2007.

Richard Reynolds – Founder and President
As full-time salesman, Richard helps potential clients understand the capabilities of his company. He has a great deal of experience working with interior designers, large condominium companies, and on large, ambitious - sometimes international - projects.

Mr. Reynolds earned an Industrial Woodworking Certificate from Conestoga College in Kitchener, Ontario and, shortly after, embarked on his own business. Since 1985, he’s taken R&R Woodwork from a one-man operation with a table saw and planer to a multi-million dollar enterprise that employs 30 people.

In Memorial – Doug Reynolds (Dec. 1922 – June 2005)
Doug Reynolds retired from the heavy truck industry at 67 and took a full-time job at R&R as treasurer, sales trainer, motivation specialist, and spiritual guide. A natural salesman and teacher, he reminded all who worked alongside him of the virtues of patience, honesty, integrity, and doing one’s very best work. He retired in 2004 when his health declined unexpectedly.

Mr. Reynolds Sr. landed his first job at age 16 as an aircraft mechanic for Britain’s Royal Air Force (RAF). After the war, he immigrated to Canada and became a diesel truck mechanic at Ford Motor Company. He spent most of his career with Ford as a sales manager for several dealerships.
